Kashi Art Retreat, Khakkaturret

Kashi Art Retreat and Kashi Art Residency are spaces where artists are invited and expected to explore, experiment, and execute creative ideas.  These residencies are offered as an opportunity, but it is up to the artist to make full use of it. We do our best to support and assist, but each artist is responsible for their activities.

Kashi Art Retreat, Khakkaturret

Kashi Art Retreat is located in Khakkaturret, a backwater village, 25 kilometers from Kochi and the Kashi Art Residency is on Bazaar Road in Mattancherry, Kochi.  Contemporary Indian artists selected are provided with shared accommodations, studio space, and a moderate stipend toward materials and expenses.

For consideration, send your curriculum vitae and photo documentation of your work, along with a note on what you would like to accomplish while in residence to Kashi, Burgher St., Fort Kochi 682001. If you would like this material returned you must provide a self addressed, stamped envelope.  Invitations are based on merit alone.

International artists interested in the retreat or residency will also be given consideration on a merit basis, but a monthly rent for the space is required.
