In the backdrop of the Iraq war, Kashi initiated the creation of a 30-meter participatory peace mural under the leadership of artists CN Karunakaran and Kaladharan on the Mahatma Gandhi Beach in Fort Cochin. The program included antiwar poetry readings by Ananda Surya and a Peace Concert lead by Henry Jacob.
