Sometimes an artwork is so strong that people can not help but take note.  It could be a shout, or maybe a whisper, but it demands attention.  It takes ‘Only ONE’

‘Only ONE’ is an art experience at Kashi Art Café.  We are inviting several very talented artists to participate in a series of ‘ONE’ works that are so noteworthy that you must involved yourself.  Invited artists will use this space to provoke, force thought, question, tickle, infuriate or communicate whatever it is that is so important to them that they became artists to do exactly that.

Each season four or five artists will create ‘ONE’ work for the Kashi ART Café gallery space.  This season’s series is called ‘Only ONE’, followed by different artists participating in ‘Next ONE’, next season; continuing the process with ‘ONE more’, ‘(not only) ONE’, etc., in years to come.

After eight to ten “one” works, we will document the series with a professional publication that includes several photographic views and articulation of each artwork.  The artist and gallery will jointly determine the most appropriate art professional to articulate each particular work.

Information regarding the availability of this future publication will become available on the Kashi website as the publication date draws near.  The “Only ONE” publication date is projected to be in Jan 2010 and will include our first 8 to 10 artworks in this ongoing series.

Upcoming in the “Only ONE” Series:
Nov 15 to Dec 15 - Jitish Kallat
DEC 20 to Jan 20 - Bose Krishnamachari
